My Note/Perspective for LIFE, Article
1
(July 2011)
Foremost, we are lucky to start the LIFE Organization from
the help of allied organizations like RIKIWA ORG, and I believe that we can
share something and we can learn from anyone.
For the Article 1, which tackles about life, I accept as
true the belief of the US President Thomas Jefferson, who said "A candle
loses nothing when it lights another candle."
We have only one life, and we need to do our best in all. We
don’t need to compare our life to others, keep in mind that you are the one who
responsible in your life. But somehow, it’s better if we put our best in the
right way. I still believe that best things are not considered the best things
if it’s not “right.”
We are praised on our “best” times and even in our “good”
skills, attitude or even knowledge, but I feel that many of us are “fixed” into
the mindset of staying as “what you are.” No matter what your best right now,
we should not forget that we can still improve every day as like what inventor
Thomas Edison thought, "If there is a way to do it better ... find
it." We cannot create a new beginning but we can create a new ending.
We cannot say that there are fixed rules or law in life but
we can say that there are some principles that can guide us better. Everything
changes over time, except for some things, like principles. Remember that we
don’t need to compare ourselves to other people.
I believe in what John Maxwell view, which says that we are
the determinant of our life. Some of us are lucky to realize it in their
earlier lives. Again, you are the determinant of your life, not someone else or
even the circumstances. As a Filipino, we are considered to be a optimistic
“people” because we are always striving for any challenges in our life.
So live our life as always at best, and focus to improve it
more every day.
"What
a wonderful life I've had! I only wish I'd realized it sooner."
